My Trip To New York

Matheus Bárbara Tempesta  - 9º A

Hello, my name is Matheus. I am 27 years old and I am doing a 14 day winter trip to the United States. The city is New York in the Manhattan area. I put together money for a long time to make this trip. My goal was to see Central Park, Times Square and the Empire State Building.

Arriving here I stayed in a hotel called "Hotel Paramount" with the US $ 138 daily (approximately R$486,00). In the afternoon, I went to have lunch at a nearby restaurant called Applebee's. Later, I went to the Empire State Building, a huge 102-story skyscraper. Up close seemed to be a thousand times bigger than in the photos.

Then I went to the Central Park Zoo, and there were amazing animals like jaguars, bears, seals, penguins, snakes, monkeys, zebras and so on. Animals that I thought I'd never see. This place reminded me of the movie "Madagascar" where the animals were fleeing from Central Park.

And finally, I went to Times Square at night, those huge screens lit up the street were beautiful, there was a lot of movement, I liked it and went to eat at a nearby restaurant.

And after that incredible day, I went back to the hotel where I was staying. For one day, I did a lot of things, but I still have 13 days to do a lot more and I hope the next few days are as good as this.
