My trip to Los Angeles

I arrived in Los Angeles on April 24th, 2018. I will be back in early 2021. My best friend and I won a contest to do an exchange program in United States. We came to finish our studies and learn a little more English. We are in the first year of high school. I am fourteen years old. We arrived in the city in the afternoon. It is spring and the weather is nice. It's a bit warm but there are good winds. We can see flowering trees all over town. They have purple and pink flowers with an incredible smell.

The first place we visited was Layola High School. The school where we are going to estudy. The school is large and is located in the city center. We were very welcome by the principals, who were very friendly. There were palm trees gracing the outside of the school and small trees on the inside.

Soon after, we went to Getty Center, an art museum in Los Angeles. It was large and looked great both the outside and inside too! Inside was cold and there were plenty of people at that time. I enjoyed all the time!

We also went to Griffith Observatory, which is in Griffith Park. It has a huge green area. I learned a lot about astronomy by seeing some exhibits they had. After seeing it, we climbed to the roof and observed the beautiful view of the city center. From there, we could see the Hollywood Sign.

My first day in Los Angeles was so wonderful, but a bit tiresome. I learned new things about the city and met new people. We went back to the hotel after visiting the Griffith Observatory. We ordered a pizza and now we will sleep. The next day we plan to visit Disneyland and the Dolby Theater. At the end of the afternoon we plan to eat a french restaurant called Perch. This was my first day in Los Angeles and I hope anyone who has read has enjoyed it.
