Alice Claudino Silva- 8°A
Hi, I'm Alice Claudino. I'll tell you how I got here in this fantastic place that is Los Angeles. I signed up for a public essay contest, and to my surprise, I won the contest along with 3 other people. They are in the same age group as me: 13 and 14 years old. The prize was 3 weeks in California. I was very happy and my parents were also very excited. I took the flight and I seemed not to be aware I was going to another country. Arrriving here, we went to the Magic Castle Hotel, in the Hollywood area. I'm sharing a room with a girl named Rafaela, who also won the contest. Today is my first day and we have already visited 3 places: Hall of Fame, Madame Tussauds Hollywood Wax Museum and Griffith Park.
The first spot I went to was the Hall of Fame, which is near the hotel where we are staying. I found it very cool, because on the floor there are several stars with the names of lots of celebrities. I took several pictures. I was really happy with that experience. I had a lot of fun!
My second spot was at the Madame Tussauds Hollywood Wax Museum. There, I found the statues of movie stars. There also are wax statues of stars from music, TV, sports and comics. Incredible! Certainly, it was one of the coolest places I've visited. I'm sure I'll have great memories. I was very happy.
Finally, I finished my day at Griffith Park. It was wonderful. I remembered some movie scenes that were already recorded there, and it was fantastic! I think I exaggerated a little bit in the photographs, because the place is so beautiful... Anyway, this was my first day in Los Angeles and I do not even believe I’m here. Now I will rest because this day, besides being exciting, was quite exhausting and I hope to see many other attractions tomorrow.
Congratulations, dear Alice! I’ve corrected some minor erros and now your text is even better. You did such a great job! I’m proud of you! 😍🤗
